The City of Visalia is hosting a public hearing regarding the proposed draft of the 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Funds. Please consider attending one of the public hearings to have your voice heard regarding these importing funding opportunities.
The City of Visalia is seeking your feedback in preparation of its 2019 Action Plan, for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Funding.

Overview: The City receives both Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME federal funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan that we are preparing for is for the Action Plan year of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. These federal funds are invested in activities meeting Visalia’s high priority needs which improve its community. These high priority needs and activities were identified in the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan (ConPlan), and are reflected in the attached document.

The proposed activities, and identified needs will be taken to City Council in January-February for their input and direction.
In accordance with HUD CoC Program Guidelines, the Alliance FY 2018 HUD CoC Program Collaborative Application and Priority Listing are now posted on the Alliance website. The Collaborative Application and Priority Listing will be submitted to HUD no later than Tuesday, September 18, 2018 by 4:59 PM PT.
The Alliance Rating & Ranking Committee is pleased to announce the funding recommendations for the HUD CoC Program Competition for FY 2018. A total of 19 projects applied for $2,613,885 in funding. The Rating & Ranking Committee carefully reviewed each application and ranked them in order of priority.
The Collaborative Application will be posted on the Alliance website a minimum of 2 days before the HUD submission deadline. A notice will be sent to the listserv once posted. Appeals to the Rating and Ranking for FY 2018 are due by September 7, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
