Local Initiatives Navigation Center (L.I.N.C.)

The Kings Tulare Homeless Alliance coordinates the Local Initiative Navigation Center (LINC), a collaborative outreach model that brings service providers together at multiple locations throughout Kings and Tulare Counties several times each month. These events create a centralized access point where individuals and families experiencing homelessness can connect with housing resources, Coordinated Entry, benefits assistance, healthcare services, employment support, and other community-based programs. By convening providers in one location, LINC improves service coordination, reduces barriers to access, and helps participants obtain the resources needed to achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency. Services offered may vary by location.

Services include:

  • Employment assistance

  • Mental health services

  • HIV education and resources

  • Child support services

  • Referrals to expert providers

  • Free California ID vouchers for the DMV

  • Free cell phones

  • Housing assessment through the Coordinated Entry System

  • Enrollment into Medi-Cal and CalFresh
