he Alliance Rating & Ranking Committee is pleased to announce the funding recommendations for the HUD CoC Program Competition for FY 2017.  A total of 22 projects applied for $2,255,393 in funding.

The Alliance Rating & Ranking Committee is pleased to announce the funding recommendations for the HUD CoC Program Competition for FY 2017.  A total of 22 projects applied for $2,255,393 in funding.  The Rating & Ranking Committee carefully reviewed each application and ranked them in order of priority.  

The Committee recommendations will be presented to the Alliance Board for adoption on Thursday, September 14, 2017.  Including the Planning Grant, a total request of $2,319,225 will be sent to HUD for the FY2017 CoC Program Competition.  

The Collaborative Application will be posted on the Alliance website a minimum of 2 days before the HUD submission deadline.  A notice will be sent to the listserv once posted.  Appeals to the Rating and Ranking for FY 2017 are due by September 18, 2017 at 5:00 pm.  For information on how to file an appeal or other important competition information, please refer to the Alliance website at https://www.kthomelessalliance.org/coc-program/

The City of Visalia will submit its Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2016 (July 1, 2016 - June 30,2017) to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), no later than September 30, 2017.

City staff invites you to attend one of the community meetings, city council meeting or if you are unable to attend a meeting, you may submit your comments in writing to Rhonda.haynes@visalia.city.

2017 HUD COC PROGRAM NOFA RELEASED

The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition has been posted to the FY 2017 CoC Program Competition: Funding Availability page on the HUD Exchange.  The Alliance is seeking project proposals from both new and existing agencies.

The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition has been posted to the FY 2017 CoC Program Competition: Funding Availability page on the HUD Exchange. The Alliance is seeking project proposals from both new and existing agencies.

A mandatory Applicant Workshop will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Alliance office located at 1900 N. Dinuba Boulevard, Suite G in Visalia. The workshop is designed to give attendees an overview of the application process, grant funds available, requirements and key strategies for a successful application.

There are several important due dates and deliverables that must be accomplished as a part of the competition. Please review the HUD NOFA for the competition materials and review the Alliance Competition Timeline for local deadlines.

The Alliance has released its Request for Applications (RFA) for the upcoming State of California Housing and Community Development (HCD) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) 2017 funding cycle. For this RFA, approximately $643,045 will be available for Emergency Shelter, Rapid Rehousing or Street Outreach projects. Applications are due to the Alliance no later than July 10, 2017.
