2019 CoC Program Competition is Now Open

The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition has been posted to the FY 2019 CoC Program Competition: Funding Availability Page on the HUD Exchange.

The CoC Application, CoC Priority Listing, and Project Applications will be available the week of July 8, 2019 in e-snaps. Submissions are due August 22, 2019 at 12:59 PM EDT.

Housing Heroes Recognition Luncheon

The 3rd annual Housing Heroes Recognition Luncheon will be held at the Lamp Liter Inn in Visalia on Friday, June 28, 2019. The Alliance encourages everyone to consider nominating someone you know who has gone above and beyond to help people experiencing homelessness in Kings and/or Tulare Counties. City of Visalia Federal Funding Activities Survey

The City of Visalia is seeking your feedback in preparation of its 2019 Action Plan, for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Funding.

Your feedback is important! Please provide feedback by or before January 18, 2019.

Overview: The City receives both Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME federal funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan that we are preparing for is for the Action Plan year of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. These federal funds are invested in activities meeting Visalia’s high priority needs which improve its community. These high priority needs and activities were identified in the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan (ConPlan), and are reflected in the attached document.

After your review- please complete the “feedback” page and return to: City of Visalia, Attn: Rhonda Haynes at Rhonda.haynes@visalia.city by or before January 18, 2019. The proposed activities, and identified needs will be taken to City Council in January-February for their input and direction.
